Who we are

Canopy Guard is a free website audit tool operated by Meraki is Love, LLC ("Soulful Tech"), based in Friendswood, Texas. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

When you run a scan, we collect:

• The domain name you enter (to perform the audit)
• Your IP address (for rate limiting only, not stored permanently)

When you download a PDF report, we collect:

• Your name (optional)
• Your email address (required for PDF delivery)

We do not collect passwords, payment information, cookies, or any data from the sites you scan. Scans are performed server-side by our audit engine against publicly accessible information only.

How we use your data

• Domain names are used solely to perform the audit and are included in your report
• Email addresses are stored in our lead database to deliver your report and, if you choose, to schedule a consultation
• We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties
• We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in

Where your data is stored

Scan results are processed on our backend hosted on Railway. Lead data (name, email, domain, scores) is stored in a Notion database accessible only to Meraki is Love, LLC staff. All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.

• Notion (lead storage)
• Google DNS API (domain resolution during scans)
• Calendly (if you choose to book a consultation)

Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We do not share your personal data with any service beyond what is necessary to operate Canopy Guard.

Cookies

Canopy Guard does not use cookies. We do not track you across sites. We do not use analytics or advertising pixels.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@merakislove.com. We will remove your information from our lead database within 7 business days.

Data retention

Lead data is retained for 12 months after collection, then deleted unless an active client relationship exists.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices change. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any modifications.
